On it's own you get a very sedating, peaceful, gradual, gentle experience that lacks a bit of head high but makes up for it with body high. The intensity level is just below that of D9 THC. All of this adds up to a high that lacks most of the paranoia of D9 or D8, making it decidedly the most "chill" psychoactive cannabinoid on its own. Amazing for newcomers - especially when paired with other low-anxiety cannabinoids like CBN. Overall it may be the best-priced cannabinoid to date as it can very commonly be found for around a buck a gram. For something that is even mildly close to D9 in terms of effects, this is an unbeatable deal. Combined with cheap cnoids you can make a blend that is better than D9 at whatever effect you are trying to hit for around a dollar a gram. 9/10 What can HHC do for a blend? When put alo ngside D8, it provides a powerful initial hit that makes my face feel fuzzy. Alongside THC-O, it creates a very relaxing and dreamlike state. The lack of body high in THCo is totally fixed with this addition. (In my personal experien ce) The kick from it in a blend can be felt between the first 1-10 minutes of a dab. Mix noids & sunflower lecithin in a separate jar over a hotplate, keep hot. 2. Heat coconut oil in a pot on medium-low. 3. Add the distillate and sunflower lecithin mixture to the coconut oil. Stir well. 4. Add honey and continue mixing thoroughly. 5. Add cocoa powder slowly and stir until glossy. Remove from heat (or it will clump). 6. Stir in vanilla extract. 7. Pour into a mold and store them in the fridge for 30 minutes. 8. Take the chocolate out and store in the fridge or freezer, depending on your preference. The potency, effects, and sheer length of time they last make CBD-P the best choice for pain relief. I had made a blend without CBD-P for my grandmother's pain issues and it helped but she needed many pills throughout the day. After I added 9% CBD-P to the blend she only needs 1 pill a day and she says it works even better. Little to no recreational value making the 50-dollar price tag quite hard to swallow, so not a lot of it is actually out there to buy. What can CBD-P do for a blend? (naturally occurring cannabinoid) THC-B i s a phytocannabinoid My Opinion THC-B is a noid that the impatie nt among us will love. Unlike most of the other strong alts that take longer to hit than D9, THC-B actually is noticeably quicker. Adds a lot of head high and stimulation to the beginning of a high and is great when paired with a phorol cannabinoid. A great novelty for sure, but a hard value proposition when the phorols are stronger and usually cheaper. A lot of people like THC-B specifically for edibles because of the quick onset. For the fastest results, try making a water-soluble powder with it! If I had to try and explain how it feels using other noids I'd say it feels like a Phorol noid combined with D8 and CBG. Being able to "vape an edible" just because its not something you could normally do does indeed make my dumb caveman brain happy. However there is not really a good reason to eat 8-OH-HHC unless maybe you have trouble feeling edibles any other way, but even then I'm not sure if it would work for you. Eating HHC is a decidedly cheaper and easier way to feel the same way. The power level is between THCo and THC-H. Also oh my lord this shit is so hard to work with. It doesn't melt until like 170f and resolidifies so fast when removed from heat. What can 8-OH- HHC do for a blend? Add a fun novelty factor Make a blend more "heady" and heavy behind the eyes. A good kick around the 20ish-minute mark Other no tes: Because of its bad availability those who do have 8-OH-HHC price it way too high to justify using it instead of (in my opinion) better and cheaper noids like THCp. Unlike other hydrogenated noids, with 8-OH-HHC you are looking for the S diastereomer Shout out to HighAsDuck for the following expl anation: Similar to HHC itself stereochemistry at the 9-Methyl group (9S vs 9R) can vary as well as well as the stereochemistry of the hydroxyl group (8beta vs 8alpha). The 8alpha (Alpha-8-OH-HHC (8S,9S) isomer is more potent) It's reportedly very physically stable and can be broken like chunks and can be touched without sticky residue like other distillates. The power level seems to be somewhere between THCo and THC-B. For the price, it is not a good deal. BUT, if it were say, 10 or 15 dollars a gram, then there would be a real place for it in the market. It was only available for a short while from a few vendors here in the US. It seems to me that there is still some 10-OH-HHC for sale overseas, but I really don't know for sure. I really don't want to see either of the metabolites go away as I feel like the only thing stopping them from being a fan favorite is price. What can 10 -OH- HHC do for a blend? It occurs naturally in high amounts in the cannabis plant. THCa on its own is not psychoactive, but once heated it is converted into D9 THC. Both D9 and D8 are iso m ers of THC. What's an isomer? An isomer is the same formula but has a different arrangement of atoms in the molecule and different properties. What's an analog? Chemical analogs are two chemical compounds that have structures that are similar to one another. They will usually differ only in the possession of a particular functional group or substructure. What are some good noids to start with? To start out I’d recommend you get some D8, CBD, CBG, and HHC/CBN. With these ingredients, you can make some great blends and they are all very low cost. Are these noids found in nature? Most of these noids are indeed phytocannabinoids (Naturally occurring cannabinoids). They have all been found within the plant with the following known exceptions: THCo, HHCo, THCPo, HHCPo, HHCv, HHCh. These noids, while being directly related to THC, have never been found in nature. Ok, so how are the alt noids made? CBGa can be directly turned into THCa, CBDa, CBCa, or CBG. As for the other noids,they can make them from modifying one of the listed noids in any number of ways. (there are a few exceptions to this rule, namely the phorols like THCp). Basically, they take CBGa they extract from biomass (kinda like shake from a farm) and then start fucking with the molecule till it's to their liking. So there is a real argument to be made that there's something "unnatural" about it. **HOWEVER** Natural doesn't mean good - cyanide is natural. So are bobcats and spikey rocks. A chemical is itself no matter where it's derived from. Rather that place be harvested directly through the plants or synthed from CBGa - the chemical itself stays the same. The natural-ness of a chemical does not have anything to do with its safety profile. These noids are indeed new to mass consumption, but all of our current knowledge points to all these alts being safe. Is this stuff like spice or other dangerous synths I used to hear about? No, “spice” “K2” and other synthetic cannabinoids have no relation to the cannabis plant at all. I was under the impression, as are a lot of people, that the reason those noids were more dangerous was because they were full agonists, however, that is not true. The real reason is that structurally unrelated drugs like indoles have nothing in common with classical cannabinoid benzopyrans like THC besides the receptor they hit. Their structural difference is likely the reason for problems because every indole noid has problems no matter how weak or what substitution while classical canna inside benzopyrans don't seem to cause issues despite heavy modifications. So does that mean it’s safe? Yes, no, and maybe. I will say with certainty that cannabinoids that are based on traditional THC/CBD have proven to be VASTLY safer than traditional synthetic cannabinoids like “K2”. From a very, very anecdotal standpoint, I have consumed many grams of Alt Cannabinoids over the course of the last 3 years, and my side effects are not noticeable. Compared to smoking just D9, these last 3 years have been far more clear-headed and nice. Once again, take this with an enormous grain of salt as I could develop issues later in life, and also, I’m just one person, I could just be getting lucky. These new noids aren’t exactly “new”, they were mostly all discovered far before the year 2000, but they have only recently hit the market, and outside of the lab, this is the first time they are being consumed, especially at large scale. What I’m saying here, is that by participating in this community/movement/whatever you want to call it, you are actively engaging in taking drugs that exist in an unregulated and unstudied market. When looking at the available science, it seems to me everything will be okay - but we have thought that a lot of times in the past (for example we put tetraethyl lead in gas before we knew better), so please know you are in uncharted waters.
